In this case, this band's copy/pasted message, to a randomly-selected Bandcamp account of mine, suggests that, if a live person had listened to the music on it, they would have heard only the playable sampler medley – since they sure as 💩 hadn't paid to download the whole release. But they want me to not only pay to download their album, but also to help to promote it (since they had been prevented from doing so, due to the sacred P-word, as though that will elicit sympathy) – and they want me to buy their merch, to pay to advertise for them. All in exchange for a transparently-superficial verbal pat on the head. (Who's a gud boi?)

Same spam, to another of my Bandcamp accounts. The "write us back at" site is here. That's likely the origin of the spam.
